Welcome to IPac!

IPac is a nonpartisan group dedicated to preserving individual freedom through balanced information policy.

We believe that technological innovation and individual creativity are vital to the future of this country. We believe that a prosperous and democratic society depends on freedom for all individuals to pursue scientific invention and artistic expression. Unfortunately, new, more draconian copyright and patent laws threaten to stifle these freedoms and restrict public participation in science, art, and political discourse.

Help Set IPac's Course

This campaign season, Presidential and Congressional candidates will be taking positions on a range of issues, including policies that affect innovation and creativity. IPac will be encouraging them to make good decisions.

With so many issues, we want to focus on the most important ones. And we want to hear from you. We've created a survey with a collection of issues where IPac could devote time and energy. Please take a moment to give us your thoughts.

We want to hear from your friends as well - anyone who supports expanding freedom to create and innovate. Please pass this survey along and encourage others to give us their opinions too!

IPac and Election '08

Happy Memorial Day and welcome to the unofficial beginning of summer! Along with warm, sunny weather, another development you'll see this year is IPac working on our first Presidential campaign! IPac founder and President David Alpert has left Google to devote more time to using democracy to promote and protect innovation, free speech, and other important values through IPac.

We have many projects in store for this summer, but we'll be starting by updating the IPac blog each day. So check it out, add it to your RSS reader, and if you haven't already, sign up for our email list (at the upper right of this page) to keep up with new and exciting developments at IPac.
