24 Hours to kill the broadcast flag
We have to act now.
We brought you the news in May that the broadcast flag had been snuck into a communications omnibus bill. The bill is going into committee tomorrow for markup. While everyone is fighting over net neutrality, the flags have been getting a free ride hidden on page 151.
Public Knowledge, as always, has all you need to know about fighting the broadcast flag. You can get their talking points here.
Remember, when calling Congress it is very important to be polite, but firm. If you get angry or start going off the rails it gives the Senator's staff an excuse to ignore your voice. Also, when calling be firm and try and get a commitment from the staffer of exactly where the Senator stands on this bill. Don't let them get away with wishy-washy no comments. It should be a simple yes or no.
